MADRONA INISNAB SA ESPAÑA 
   

SAN FERNANDO, Romblon – Isang malaking dagok ang natamo ni kongresman Budoy Madrona nang mangilan ngilan lamang ang dumalo sa kaniyang pamiting na ginanap sa España National High School noong nakaraang Pebrero 7, 2010.
 
Maging ang kaniyang ‘pakulo’ na pag orgaisa ng grupo ng mga ka-babaihan upang ipangtapat sa umano’y KALIPI na pinangungunahan ni Alice Fetalvero, kalaban   sa pulitika ni Madrona, ay hindi ‘kinagat’ ng mga babaing naroon sa sinabing pagtitipon.
   
Ang miting ay dinaluhan ng mga opisyales ng barangay ay humigit-kumulang sa isang daang tao lamang at sinasabing mas marami pa umano ang bilang ng grupo na kasama ni Madrona
   
Unang ipinangalandakan ni Madrona ang aniya’y humigit kumulang na P35 milyon na pondo para raw sa bayan ng San Fernando.
   
Hindi naman binigyang pansin ng mga naroon ang kaniyang sinabi sapagka’t marami sa kanila ay mga magsasaka na  biktima ng naggibang patubig na pi-nundohan ng pamahalan ng ipinagmamalaking P5.5 milyon at ipinakontrata sa asawa ng alkalde ng bayan na si Tangsinco.
   
Tinakaw  rin umano niya ang mga kababaihang dumalo sa nasabing miting sa pahayag niyang malaki umano ang pondo kung makapag organisa siya ng kapisanan ng mga kababaihan.
   
Sinagot naman umano siya ng mga taga España na hindi raw nila kailangan ang uri ng kapisanang gusto niyang maorganisa.
   
Ang España ay isa sa mga pangunahing barangay ng bayang ito ng San Fernando.

The Wedge

Election campaigns are normal phenomenon during election periods.  But what is abnormal is the unusual display of armed power by a non-powerful aspiring politician.

To borrow the words of numerous voters who are silently observing the trend hereabouts, “Madrona and his minions are showing force where it is not actually needed.”

The use of armed bodyguards is a simple display of total arrogance and indifference most abhorred by the electorate. An aspirant who marches around and displays armed followers do not create love and affection in the process.  He creates fear.  He ingrains disgust.   He develops distance between the governed and the aspiring governor.

The electorate is now ripe for a simple question:  Do you want to be governed or to live in fear? Do you wish to participate in our inherent desire to be financially and economically developed?  Or do you want to merely depend on the largesse that the politicians of our times have become? Have left for us and the generations yet to come?

While the answer is no to those questions, Romblomanons are silent witnesses on how abuse and military force is being slowly introduced to us.

We can but thank an incumbent aspirant who, for lack of foresight, merely picks candidates without regard whether they are morally upright or mere shadows of mediocrity. Such aspirants are being rammed down our throats without regard to our sense of delicadeza. 

Probably, the candidate himself is without any sense of delicadeza.  Already, he has created the wedge.

The use of bodyguards is part of the political process and electorates are already immune about this. I do not think the use of armed bodyguards creates fear to the electorates. It creates fear to the candidates because they are afraid of their safety.

These questions are irrelevant.  The electorate need not ask any longer whether or not he or she wants to be governed because the situation is given in the political process. We are a government of men and not of fear. People should not live in fear because we have judicial processes where the bad elements in our society including those in government can be punished. Financial and/or economic development is part of a growing society and it is expected that the electorate must be involved in that process. Why do you think our electorates go overseas?. Charity begins at home, but now it begins with the politicians. Such practice has become part of our political process. It is now part of our life support system.

Romblomanons have been witnesses for a long time about the abuses of our politicians. Therefore, we have no choice but to live by with it.  Do you have that choice Mr. Editor.? 

All political parties have been doing since time immemorial this undemocratic and stupid practice in selecting who and who are not supposed to aspire for public office. This is the problem of having a multi-party system. Even an illeterate janitor can run for public office. An actor can run for high public office. Finally, delicadeza is now obsolete today. Criminals can even run for public office. And you Mr. Editor has a chance to get elected or appointed in public office. It is no longer a wedge. It is a paradigm.

I thought congressional candidates are entitled to only to 1 armed bodyguard. Probably those accompanying Cong Madrona on his sorties are members of MILF lost command na sangkaterbang  panget kaya natakot ang mga taga Espana. Or baka naman sadyang walang panahon sa mga panget ang mga taga Espana.

No less than Gov Beltran mistook them  for terrorist. So that helps explain why he jack-up the intelligence fund to the tune of 13M.

Interesting,  do you and Macario Saclay both know Gimo Ponce de Leon of Palawan? He was a solitary figure and seldoms visit his native Aborlan. He's still single, perhaps no plan to settle down despite his old age. He is an activist and on the order of battle of the AFP, because I once saw his name with a red tag on it. I'm happy for him, i think he was already dropped from the hot list of the AFP.

I do not find honor in killing desperate men like him. As I remember Capt. Jarques' words:

I think one of Doc Lolong's sister was a classmate of one of his sister  in college.
