As the campaign kicks off, Gov. Beltran and his thugs are penetrating even the remote areas and barangays to distribute some food stuffs which includes sardines, noodles and a 5kg rice. Medicines abound, all you need is a prescription and you can have the medicine you want. Beautifications and street lightings are common in vote rich areas courtesy of Gov. Beltran.

I learned a new dictum: Let the people go hungry, let them wallow in poverty, rob them of their dignity, oppress them more. All the while, votes will come cheap by the dozen.

Achiever,
My concerns are for real. Those free food stuffs  means a lot to the common Romblomanon. If they did accept those stuffs, so what’s next? Probably a 500 peso bill with together with a sample ballot?

Roll out your dry gins Achiever. My  boat is passing your waters. Jump aboard and we’ll have a drink. You can forget your political plans. You are a vote buyer in the making.

To Die Like Christ

(With apologies to Manuel Buencamino, Life In Gloria’s Enchanted Kingdom)

An old priest who lay dying in his hospital bed motioned to his nurse to come near.
“Yes, Father?” asked the nurse..

“I would like to see Budoy Madrona and Jojo Beltran before I die.” whispered the priest.
“I’ll see what I can do, Father,” he replied.

Budoy phoned Jojo after he heard from the nurse..

“Did you get the priest’s request?” he asked him.

“Yes,” he replied.

“I don’t know why he wants to see us but my advisers told me I should go, it will be good for my image daw.” he said.

“My people in the capitol told me the same thing,” he replied,
“Then let’s go together.” he proposed.

“That’s a good idea,” he said. “We can milk the visit.”

The priest’s hospital room was packed with media men when they arrived.

The priest beamed when he saw Budoy and Jojo. He motioned Budoy to stand by the right side of his bed and Jojo on the left. A look of serenity settled on the priest’s face after they took their places.

The cameras were rolling. Everybody was waiting for the priest to say something for the day's news’ soundbite. But he said nothing. All he gave them was a beatific smile.

Budoy finally spoke up, “Father, of all the people you could have chosen, why did you choose us to share your last moments with you?”

The dying priest replied. “I have always tried to live my life as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did. Now I want to die like He did.”

Budoy bowed his head. Jojo wiped a tear from his eye.

The priest continued, “Thanks to you both my wish will come true.”

“How so?” chimed Budoy Madrona and Jojo Beltran.

“Christ died between two lying thieves.”

Macario
Jesus Christ died between the two thieves and murderers. The problem is you have yet to prove that either Jojo or Budoy is a murderer. Hence, you story is not good enough, although very funny.

As

I wish I could share to you my favorite Royal Salute so I would know if you really have no plans of splurging you hard earned money to the voters. Interestingly, are you ready to buy P1,000 per vote?

Achiever,
I’ll spare not even 1 peso. Pero sa kaso mo mate, tingin ko you have to shell out a huge sum or maybe a fortune.

There’s no reason to hurry. Life begins at 50 di ba mate? Hayaan muna natin sila.

What a smart move. I hope by that time you have already recovered the missing treasures.Just don't forget to donate a piece of gold to charity. My take is 50/50 for Leila Arboleda. It's again do or die for Juliet. Is is more of pride than politics that is involved in this election.

Correction: San Andres not Calatrava.

Is there a chance of reconciliation between Liela and Juliet?
